Forty years after Civil Rights legislation changed our democracy dramatically, we find ourselves living with the subtler forms of racism. So much has changed; so much has not. The Community for Healing and Understanding, formed in Kirkwood after the shootings of February 7, is laying the groundwork to bring deep change into all of our lives.
