Some people say politics ought to be kept out of church; others say that social action is inherently political and that we must choose. Unitarians tend to trust democratic decision-making in ordinary church work, but not so much when it comes to politics because we want to encourage diversity. How to unstick this wicket?

"Five Smooth Stones"
If Unitarian Universalists don't have a single creed, a single scripture, or a SINGULAR prophet, what do we have? Five smooth stones. It is a concept from James Luther Adams, for whom our Adams Hall is named.
